What's "political correctness"?

"Political Correctness" is a wolf in sheep's clothing. What I am saying is that on the surface, political correctness seems like a good idea, but when put into practice you begin to realize the evilness of it all. Let's take a closer look. On the surface it seems like a great idea, because as a decent person I don't want to offend anyone when speaking. That isn't my intention, so I limit my speech to words that are not offensive to others. What people fail to realize is that their is always going to be someone who is going to be overly sensitive and offended. When we keep giving in to every person that is offended, eventually we can talk about nothing. In this country, we have the right to free speech, and I would like to ask you why our forefathers thought that it was so important that they had to mention it specifically? Was it because they thought that it was of the utmost importance that we be able to discuss and voice our opinions to stay free? Was it because they had a fear that the future government of America could at some point try and censor citizens in an attempt at silencing dissent? I think so. This is why political is in the term political correctness. When the people are silenced, political power is gained and this is why it is so bad. Political correctness is a form of censorship. Look how political correctness has limited discussion about Wright. Anyone who dares criticize Wright for his remarks is labeled a racist. Now we have Democrats fighting Republicans, liberals fighting conservatives, and people are dividing themselves over this issue. Who stands to gain because of it? That's right, the government, because as long as they have us divided they gain power. I have long ago stopped bowing to the political correct crowd, because they are destroying our country. They are enabling our government to strip us of our rights, because they keep us squabbling over inconsequential issue. Wake up people.
