As it becomes less and less popular for younger Females in western cultures to grow out their nails for decorative purposes, I'm curious, when did it become popular for women to grow out their nails and decorate them? has this always been the case? has fingernail decoration always been popular amongst different cultures throughout history? or is it a more recent innovation in some cultures?
